Hardened Castor Oil / HCO
HCO is produced out of refined castor oil. Refined castor oil will be mixed with the catalyst nickel in a reactor and reched under addition of an hydrogen gas a temperature of 140°C. During this process mainly the Iodine content will be reduced to a required value.
In the following filtration the added catalyst will be removed. Finally the liquid oil will be brought over a cooling-drum into his flaked form.
